A ineetiug was held to-day iv Dublin in opposition to the proclamation against the National League. The hall was crammed, and the proceedings parsed off in an orderly mauner. Dillon, O'Brien, and others defied the Government, and declared that the triumph of the League was certain.
Further discussion on the subject of the New Hebrides took place in the House of Commons to-day. Sir J. Fergnssou, Secreuwy fov the Colonies repcatPil the statements made by Lord Salisbury in the House ot Lords on the Ist instant as to the position of affairs, and stated that the Government continued to urge France to arrive at a settlement. That country, he acWed, had given, proof of friendship, which he hoped would long continue despite the natural and just rivalries.
