MANAIA.
(PROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
Otakeho Dairy Company's cheese is now in the English marKet, thanks to the spirited action of Mr. Milton, of Manilla, who some few months ago purchased a ton or so and sent it to a firm in Worcester, of which Mr. Milton was until recently a partner, 'ihe cheese is sure to give satisfaction, aa the quality was first class. It is advertised at 6£d, 7d, and 7^d per Ib, alongside American cheeses at s|d, >• ,ii is described as " splendid npe old cheese, equal to the finest Cheddars." The Otakeho Dairy Company is fortunate in securing an introduction to the English market, and it may bo fairly cnmplimentetl in tbe fact that tbe "quality is looked upon at Home with favor. There's nothing like advertising, if a good quality backs up tbe advertisement.
The Public Library has received about 200 new books, which will be a welcome addition to its new sfock.
The annual general meeting of the Manaia Dairy Company, which was fixed for Saturday next, will not be held on that flay, owing to an informality in the way of convening it. A general meeting of the shareholders will, however, be held shortly to receive the venr's accounts.
