At the Jockey Club committee meetiug it was resolved to strike out the third day of the autumn meeting on the program tne for the ensuing season, and reduce the stakes for the whole season by £490 The following 6ums were voted for stakes : — Spring Meeting, £1160; Boxing Day Meeting, i? 52 0; Autumn MeetiD», J1970 ; Steeplechase Meeting, £830. The Napier Handicap iB to be renamed the Hawke'B Bay Cup, and endowed with 500 eovs.
