ENGLISH CRICKET.
At Blackheath, on June Ist, in a match between the Abbey School. Beckcnham, and Strnthedeii Heuse, the latter were dismissed for iivc runs. Pour of these were extras, so that the whole side made but one run between them. This was mainly due to the effective bowline of Bamford, a youth of 13. His analysis reads as follows :—5.2: — 5.2 overs, 5 maidens, 0 runs, 7 wickets.
Abbey School seems a rare place for good bowlers. In addition to young Bamford, there appears to be another coming bowler there also, named Berens, and aged 13 also. He dismissed seven of the Elliot Place C.C for one run, and his analysis reaas as toMows .- — 5.2 overs, 4 maidens, 1 run, 7 wickets. The whole side fell for the small total of 11 runs.
