LONDON MARKETS.
Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co., received the following cable message from Messrs. Sanderson, Murray, and Co. regarding the wool sales : — " London, 14th July. Sales have closed firm. Crossbred in good demand." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following telegram from their London office, dated 14th instant : — Wool. — The sales closed to-day at the level of last sales, except superior greasy merino and fine greasy crossbred, which have advanced nearly jd per lb; and medium and inferior greasy, faulty scoured and washed merino, which have declined nearly |d per lb. The sales comprise about 320,000 bales ; 154,000 bales have been taken for the Continent, 16,000 bales for America, and 35,000 bales have been held over for future disposal. Frozen Ment. — Canterbury mutton is worth 3{d per lb, and limb, 4}d.
