MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT.
Auckland. June 30. Horses — Rather a limited number were brought forward last Friday at the Durham yards. Purchasers were forthcoming, and most offered changed hands at fully the previous week's values. Those of a good stamp were but poorly represented, and hardly an average number of other descriptions were submitted and disposed of without alteration in value. Wool, Hides, and Skins— An average quantity were pitched at the Durham yards on Tuesday; a steady demand existed, and there remained an unsatisfied demand for good ox hides. We quote cow hides at 2gd to 3}d ; medium. 3Jd ; heavy, 4dto 4id; calf skins, 3Jd to Ud perlb; sheepskins, from 2s lOd to 3s 8d each; wool in bags, 7d per lb. Fat Cattle— An increased number were brought forward on Tuesday, at the Junction yards, and an upward tendency prevailed. Fat Sheep—The yards were fairly filled on Tuesday, and there was a spirited demand throughout the sale. Fat wethers sold at from 11s 3d to 15s: fat ewes, from 11s to 13s. Pigs— Very few yarded.
