NOW PUBLISHED. THE STAR ALMANACK, 1887. PRICE, ONE SHILLING.

Opinions of The Press. We have been favored with a copy of the Star Almanack for 1887. It is a surprisingly creditable production for a small town like Hawera, and the compilers and printers may reasonably feel satisfied with their work. The alm.inack contains n great variety of the most useful information, and consists of no fewer than 201 pages, not including advertisements.— Wellington Press. The Star Almanack for this year, printed and published by Messrs. limes aud Co., of Hawera would do credit to any of the large offices in the principal commercial centres of the colony. Compiled with ability aud care, adapted to the wants of everyone, and containing 261 pa^es of printed matter omitting advertisements, the Stak Almanack should find a plnce in every household throughout the district in which it is published. — Wanifanui Chronicle. We acknowledge receipt from Messrs. Inties and Co., of a copy of the Star Almanack for 1887. As usual, the publication contains much useful information, and should be found very valuable by every settler along this coast. It contains very correct directories of the towns of New Plymouth, Waitara, etc, as well as Hawera, Noi-manby, and other places. Every year this valuable almanack shows marked improvement, and we must congratulate the publishers on this evidence of success. Tbe almanack is priuted in first-class style, on excellent paper, and we can safely say that the general " get up " is equal to that of any similar publication in the Colony.— Tarannki News. The Ail Almanack for 1887, a copy of which has been sent us, is a very neatly printed and somewhat bulky publication containing a large amount of information on all sorts of subjects. It should ensure v large sale, and we hope the enterpribing proprietors will be recouped for the outlay they lunst have gone to in the getting of it up.— Taniuaki Herald We have to acknowledge with thanks the receipt from the publishers, of a copy of the Stab Almanack. It is impossible to gire anything like an adequate idea of the real utility of the work, for it contains 261 pages of matter, exclusive of udvertiseuieuts, aud overy page conveys some useful information to the render. In fact it is rapidly becoming a settler'b cade mecum, andean give points to any almanack published on this coust.— Patea Hail.
