WELLINGTON, March 12. The Evening Post and the Press Association have been served witli writs at the instance of McMahon and Leiich, claiming i£looo damages for libel. Information has been laid against a merchant of Wellington, charging him with alleged fraudulent dealings with regard to some promissory notes for amounts involving .£l5O.
