NOW PUBLISHED. THE STAR ALMANACK, 1887.

PEICE, ONE SHILLING. For Table of Contents, see page 4. Opinions of The Press. We have been favored with a copy of the Star Almanack for 1887. It is a surprisingly creditable production for a small town like Hawera, and the compilers and printers may reasonably feel satisfied with their work. The almanack contains a great variety of the most useiul information, and coiisists of do fewer than 261 pages, not including advertisements.— Wellington Press. We have to acknowledge receipt of the Hawera Star Almanack for 1887. This Almanack, which is published by Messrs. Innes & Co., of Hawera, has long enjoyed a reputation for being carefully compiled, and we notice that the new edition is full of useful information.— Wellington Post.

The Star Almanack for this year, printed and published by Messrs. Innes and Co.. of Hawera would do credit to any of the large offices in the principal commercial centres of the colony. Compiled with ability and care, adapted to the wants of everyone, and containing 261 pages of printed matter omitting advertisements, the Star Almanack should find a place in every household throughout the district in which it is published. — Wanganui Chronicle.

"We acknowledge receipt from Messrs. limes and Co., of a copy of the Star Almanack for 1887. As usual, the publication contains much useful information, and should be found very valuable by every settler along this coast. It contains very correct directories of the towns of New Plymouth, Waitara, etc, as well as Hawera, Norinanby, and other jVl.ices. Every year this valuable almanack shows marked improvement, and we must congratulate the publishers on this evidence of success. The almanack is printed in first-class style, on excellent paper, and we can safely say that the general " get up " is equal to that of any similar publication in the Colony. — Taranaki News.

JBie Star Amiakack for 1887, a copy of which somewhat bulky publication containing a l.n-f,'e amount of information on all sorts of subjects. It should ensure a larije sale, and we hope the enterprising proprietors will be recouped for the outlay they must have gone to in the getting of it up.— Taranaki Herald.

We have to acknowledge with thanks the receipt from the publishers, of a copy of the Star Almanack. It is impossible to tfhe anything like an adequate idea of the real utility of the work, for it contains 261 pages of matter, exclusive of advertisements, and every pacre conveys home useful information to the reader. In fact it is rapidly becoming a settler's vnda mccum, andean give points, to any almanack published on this coast.— Patea Mail.
