MIDLAND RAILWAY.
[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, January 3. Th« Minister for Public Works has, at the request of the directors of the Midland Railway Company, consented to turn the first sod of the company's lino which starts at Biunnerton. The lion, gentleman will leave for Greymouth, for that purpose, in about three weeks' tiuie.
