LONDON, July 9.
The cricket match was commenced to-day. The Home team went first to the wickets, and were all disposed of tor 197 runs, towards which Shrewsbury contributed 72 (caught), and Waft 42 (bowled). The Australians commenced their first innings, and at the conclusion of the day's play, had put together 23 runs, with the loss of three wickets.
