'Plie experiments made by Mr. Kinross with the volcanic* dust collected from the deck of the Southern Cross hear out the tests made by Mr. Pond, of Auckland. DUNEDIN, July 10. A five-roomed house, in Duke-st., owned by Tupper, a timber merchant, was burned down yesterday. Insured, with contents, for £650 in the South British, of which 1250 is re-insured.
