SYDNEY, June 15.
Captain Webber, of the Lye-e-moon, which vessel was racently wrecked off Green Cape, has been committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter. The third officer, Fotheringham, has been discharged from custody at fhe request of the Crown prosecutor.
In the Legislative Assembly to-ilay, the Premier, Sir Patrick Jennings, stated that the alleged railway frauds were nothing like the amount reported. He added that the staff wera engaged in working night and day to ascertain the number and amount of the frauds. The Premier further announced that all persons concerned would be prosecuted.
MELBOURNE, June 14.
The funeral of Archbishop Goold took place to-day. The obsequieE were of a most imposing character, the cathedral being crowded with spectators.
