MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN'S STOCK REPORT.

(FBOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, February 23. Horses — Dullness has characterised the market during the past week, but a limited number of horses came forward. Last Friday competition was fairly good. Most of the horses entered were disposed of at previous week's quotations. Wool, Hides, and Skins— The quantity was small and demand steady. We quote hides at from 2Jd to 2Jd per lb ; skins, from Is to 28 3d ; wool, 5d to ssd per lb. Cattle — The supply has been an average one, and the demand steady at previous week's values. Shipbome cattle were of an exceptional quality. There was no alteration on previous week's prices. Fat sheep were tolerably plentiful, particularly in Bast Coast yards, but prices were in favor, of the purchasers — 15s Sd being the bighest figure for -wethers, and 9s 6d for' ewes ; indifferently fatted were relatively lower; lambs were in adequate supply, and sold at from 9s to 9s 6d. Pigs— -Very few were ..offered, conse- j quently we cannot quote a market.
