IMPERIAL POLITICS. LONDON, July 12. Efforts are being made to avert a conflict between the Lords and Commons in connection with the franchise question. With tbis view, Lord Wemyss will in the House of Lords on Monday, move a compromise, requiring that the Lords shall pass the Franchise Bill now, and that the Government introduces at the autumn session, a Bill for the redistribution of seats.
