THE RAILWAY TARIFF.
NAPIEE, April 4. Complaints are made that a special charge of 25 per cent, above tariff rates is made for the carriage of grain and flour on the Napier railway. No complaint is made as to the general increase, but only to this exceptional charge. [This is precisely the objection in the cas"e of the Hawera-New Plymouth line ; and if the Chamber of Commerce interviewed Major Atkinson on the subject, this objectionable feature might be done away with.— -Ed.
