G. AND F. HORNER'S FIRST STOCK SALE.

Messrs. G. and F. Homer's first stock sale at Manaia was well attended, and the stock yarded sold freely. The cattlo offered were all of a good class and sold fairly at the hammer. Cows fetched from .£3 15s. to £5 ; three-old heifers, £'3 15s. ; two-year old heifers, £3 55. ; calves, £2. Mr. Homer thanked the buyers present for the support given to him, and noted that the next sale would be held in about a month. Mr. Homer sells quietly, but without dwelling long on stock. Anything not sold is passed, and the auctioneer proceeds to the next pen. We believe that Mr. Homer is somewhat new to the business, so it is only fair to state that he appeared to give general satisfaction to the company assembled. The yards are now being gravelled, and the contract will probably be completed within a week or go.
