HUTT COMPETITIONS The Halt Valley Cricket Association’s competitions were continued on Saturday. The championship points are:—Petone 10, Hutt 8, Petcne United 5, Upper Hutt 5, Trafalgar Parle 5, Taita 0. Results:
Hutt, first innings, 126; second innings, 9 3 for four wickets. Petone, first innings, 205 (A. Denzel) 56, J. Brennan 53, B. Pointon 40). Taita, first innings, 121; second innings, four wickets for 210 (H. Cornish 85, D. Smith 47). Trafalgar Park, first ininngs, 223 (B. Ross 51, J. Mason 47). • Upper Hutt, first innings, 2 69; second innings, five wickets' for 92 (F. Newton not out 47). Petone United, first innings, 149 (J. McCarthy 38, L. Ward 31). Second Grade Naenae, 198 and 24 for two, beat Upper Hutt, 94 and 140 (F. Haly 53, G. Haly 31). Petone, 137 and 86 for five (James 4 0 not out), beat Epuni, 31 and 186 (Hayes 62). T.P.5.0., 196, beat Petone United, 51 and 82. . Hat Trick \ I. Burt (Trafalgar Park) secured the "hat-trick" for the second successive week on Saturday. ' '■: Playing in a fifth B grade match against Wainui Burt took four for 2 8 arid seven for 12 (including the "hattrick").
