WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
TCrUNI BRANCH The November meeting of the Epuni Women's Institute was presided over by Mrs. Woodrow. Five; new members were proposed and welcomed.
The thought for the month was given by Mrs. Mackey, "If you have a friend be a friend." A full report was given by Mrs. Trigg of the half-yearly council meeting. A donation of £l/10/- has been forwarded to the Leper Fund. The president thanked members for the good response for bootees and socks for the hospital.
Mrs. J. W. Andrews gave a very interesting talk to the membenf on hen trip to America. A farewell gift was presented to Mrs. Mackey by the president, who thanked Mrs. Mackey for her great assistance as secretary and wished her well in her future home ' ifi Auckland. Results of'competitions were: Ginger biscuits, Mrs. Collard 1, Mrs. Johnson 2; best bloom, Mrs. Woodrow 1, Mrs. Robins 2; mystery parcel, Mrs. Stevens. The next month's competition will be a Christmas novelty.
