BUTTER AND CREAM
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—-For years New Zealanders have accepted the rationing of butter and the total barring of cream (o the general public, but there is now a widespread demand that these commodities should be made available to us in the country where they are
produced. So many things which were introduced as war-time or just-after-war measures seem now to be taken as a matter of course, and there is a danger that they will be accepted as the ordinary way of
living. New Zealanders, especially when they read that part of thenbutter is going to Canada and other countries, feel that rationing here should end. We want to enjoy our own butter and cream, and especially to see that our children and the elderly people get more adequate supplies.—l am, etc.,
