The deceased was of a very genial and, likeable disposition arid had made many friends amongst Rugby supporters. He s was a 1 splendid worker in the interests of the Hutt Club and Rugby in general.

Congratulations to Delamore G. Delamore; Wellington's only 1948- All Black, r. Hearty’ congratulations to Graham Delamore upon his selection. as a member of the team to tour. South Africa next year. He had perhaps more publicity, not always favourable to his chances', than any other player taking part in the trials, and the general opinion

was that his form in the North v. South match would be the deciding factor. If so, the selectors must have been keeping an eye on his defence, which was severely tested. The fact that he dropped a couple of passes wouid not unduly influence competent judges such as the New Zealand selectors undoubtedly are. We know that Delamore will be one of the successes of the tour. All Huttvfollowers of Rugby will wish hii# the best of hick. •
