Collection of Fat
DRIVE NEXT SATURDAY The Lower Hutt Aid to Britain Committee has all.arrangements completed for a house-to-house collection of fat next Saturday.
householders are asked to place the fat in containers at the gates of their residences before 8.30 a.m., when collectors organised by the Youth Council will commence their rounds.
The urgency of the need is well known. Almost every letter received from Britain mentions the great shortage of fat and the joy with which parcels of it are received. Lower Hutt residents should thus welcome the opportunity provided by the collection on Saturday of doing something that will bring pleasure to their sorely-tried kinsfolk in Britain.
