Combined Banks
ANNUAL RUGBY MATCH The annual Rugby match between the Combined Banks of Christchurch and Wellington was played in Christchurch on Monday, the Wellington team winning 18-11. During the week-end the Wellington team and its thirty supporters were entertained by a very able committee and attended a social and dance at Richmond and a sightseeing tour on Sunday. At the dinner held after the match the Fow Shield was presented to |J. Little, the Wellington captain, by Mr. Geo. Fow, donor of the. shield. Local players in the Wellington team were K. Lockett, H. Port, A. Wetlierall, R. Carter and D. Jowett.
