MENACE TO HEALTH
SANITARY FITTINGS SCARCE Alleging that certain sanitary tittings were almost unprocurable in the North Islam!, Mr. A. Brockolsby told a meeting of the council of the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce and Industry last weed; that such a state of affairs would be a grave menace to public health in the event Of a national calamity such as a sever" earthquake. Some of these fittings were manufactured in the South Island, and he was assured that the shipping position was the cause of the shortage in the North Island. The present position in the North Island was a terrible state of affairs from a health point of view. He thought that the Minister should be written to, asking that something be done to relieve the position. It was decided to obtain information as to the cause of the shortage.
