Other members are Mr. W. C. E. George, tailor, of Rotorua. formerly Mayor of Iluntly, and Mr. <:. A. Monk, farmer, chairman of the Horowhenua County Council and a member of the Counties' Association.

At a meeting of the Free Ambulance Council in Wellington last week the chairman, Mr. W. H. Price, referred to the appointment of one of Its members, Mr. J. VV. Andrews, to th.' Local Government Hoard. The fact that Mr. Andrews had been selected by the Municipal Conference, the harbour boards, and other bodies to carry out this important duty spoke for itself, said Mr. Price.
