POWER FOR WORKSHOPS
MINISTER REFUSES REQUEST The Minister of Railways wrote to the last meeting of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board refusing its request, to supply power to the railway workshops at Woburn, stating that that right would lie retained by the State Hydro-electrical Department. Mr. Botbamley: “That means there will be tvvo transmission lines.” t The chairman, Mr. G. L. Giesen, said the Government, refused to cooperate with the Board in its plans. It. was decided to write to the Department again.
