FESTIVAL OF MUSIC. Remarkable st&iidards of attainment were shown by the Technical College liitielblahs In the Festivals of Music presented in the Wellington town Hall in 1944 and 1945. The third Festival is set down for two nights, Friday and Saturday, October 4th and 5 th. and the great public enthusiasm shown last year should again guarantee full houses. Hutt and Petone residents are assured of excellent train arrangements being made for them. Seats for the performances may be booked at the D.I.C. from today. There will be over 400 ill the massed choir and 150 in the orchestra. In addition the Military Band oi' 4 0 members will provide music. The programme is as ambitious and varied as in former years. Trebles ahd basses will be heard in up to six-part singing in choruses with grand organ, w r hile the setiibr orchestra, military band, and other instrumental groups will render light classical music by Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, and other masters.
