HUTT VALLEY ASSOCIATION (By Sergeant-Major.) The concert which is to be held in the King George Theatre on Sunday, September 22nd, promises to be the best yet produced by the Hutt Valley R.S.A. In addition to some rev- artists there will be some old favourites. The programme will include vocal, instrumental, dancing, and novelty items. Also included in the programme will be impersonations by a newcomer to the concert platform. Annual Victory Ball. The first annual ball is to be held on Friday. September 27th. In the Horticultural Hall. This function, it is hoped, will be the most colourful ever held in the Valley. A first-class ballroom orchestra has been engaged and patrons are assured of a very enjoyable night. Tickets are available from the R.S.A. Office or from members of the ball committee. Sudden Death. • We regret to announce the sudden death of Mr. Hugh Bolton, exsergeant and late member of Kiwi Concert Party (Middle East), one of our members. Mr. Bolton was well known in musical circles and for the last few weeks had spent a lot of time working in the interests of the R.S.A. His sudden and untimely death came as a great shock to his family and friends.
He was given a military funeral on Saturday. To his father and family we extend our deepest sympathy.
