SEQUEL TO ACCIDENT
NEGLIGENT driving charge. As a sequel to an accident which occurred at the corner, of High Street and Bouicott Street on July Bth, when a motor cyclist, James Grant Bissett, collided with a lorry driven by Thomas Robert Scott and was fataliy injured, Scott appeared in the Magistrate's Court on Friday, before Mr. H. G. Thompson, on a charge of negligent driving, causing death. A plea of not. guilty was entered, and, Scott was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Mr. E. F. Rothwell appeared for Scott, and Senior Sergeant Sugrue conducted the case for the police.
