Coaching in Cricket
TKTBUTE TO ASSOCIATION. "The Hutt Valley Cricket Association is to be commended for providing coaching facilities for players, as a result of which play should benefit considerably," said Councillor V. S. Hewer, chairman of the reserves committee, at the last meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council. The Association was granted the use of the lons room at the Hutt Recreation Ground on four nights of the week for six weeks prior to the opening of the cricket season, and on wet Saturday afternoons, for I lie purpose of operating an indoor coaching service by Mr. K. C. James.
The fee was lixed at £l/10/- per week, plus lighting charges, the approval being subject to the nets being erected to the satisfaction of 'he Superintendent of Reserves, and subject al.so to the Council having the right of the use of the room for any special occasion.
