HARRIER CLUB
TECHNICAL COLLEGE The Hutt Valley Memorial Technical College lias commenced a harrier club which holds its runs on the school's weekly sports days. Last week's event was a sealed handicap race over a distance of 23 miles and a field of 32 runners took part, with the following results: B. Stewart 1, R. Rotlington 2, O. Bailey ?,. Fastest lime of 17 minutes 15 seconds was made by T. Lawton and F. Gaudin, Lawton passing the tape just ahead of Gaudin in a most exciting finish.
The following team has been selected to represent the College in a race against Christchurch Technical College at Christchurch next week-end:—P. Mcßae (club captain), C. Baxter (vice-captain), J. Maquire, 1. Jacobson, R. Payne and R. Quin. The team will travel south next Friday and will return on Tuesday,
