Queen Carnival
CROWNING NEXT WEEK The Queen Carnival on behalf of Transit House is drawing to a close. The Hospital Auxiliary will run the stalls at the Patriotic Hut, Lower Hutt, next Friday. In the Wellington Town Hall a big tug-of-war contest (arranged by firemen) will be held next Friday night, a children's fancy dress will be held on Saturday afternoon, and the spectacular crowning of the successful Queen (for which there are seven candidates) will take place on Saturday night.
