Returns of Land
PENALTY FOB NEGLECT Furnishing a return of land is an annual duty imposed by law on all landowners who at noon on March 31st hold land of an unimproved value according to the Government valuation in excess of £3OO. The unimproved value is the value of the land exclusive of buildings, fencing and other improvements. Forms are obtainable at all post olliccs and at offices of the Band and Income Tax Department. The return should he completed and forwarded (as directed in the notice appearing in this issue, on or before April 10th. Any person neglecting to furnism a return is liable to a penalty ncjit exceeding £IOO. /
