Shortage of Electrical Supply HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD Owing to the continued shortage ol' water at the Government Hydro Generating Stations, the Government has instructed the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board to reduce the consumption ot Electricity by at least :l 8 per cent. A further appeal is therefore made.- to all consumers to reduce their consumption. To assist the Hydro Electric Stations to continue to give service, the Board wishes to notify all its consumers that the following areas will be cut off according to the Time Table, hereunder. This Time Table will operate as from April Ist until further notice. * 10 a.in. to 11 a.in.: Lower Hutt east of. High Street and north of Woburn Road and Whites Line and as far north as Waddington including Woburn, Waiwhetu. Waterloo and Epuni areas. 10 a.m. tc 11 a.m.: Lower Hutt north of Moiling - Road to Taita Gorge, west of High Street, and including Lincoln Avenue, Trinity. Thorneycroft, Park Avenue and Rata Streets. 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Upper Hutt to the north of Taita Gorge including Upper Hutt Borough, Whiteman’s Valley, Mangaroa, To Marua and Stokes Valley. 10 a.m. tc 11 a.m.: North of Porirua, including part of Porirua, Titahi Bay, l’aremata, Plimmerton, Pukerua Bay, Horokiwi Valley and Pahautanui. 3.30 p.m to 4.15 p.m: South of Petone Woollen Mills, including Ngahauranga, Johnsonville, Oliariu, Newlands, Glenside, Tawa Flat, Linden and part of Porirua. 4.15 p.m to 5.00 p.m: Generally the whole of Petone, west of Jessie Street, Lower Hutt City, West of Hutt River, including Western Hutt Hills Park Road, "Alicetown, Normandale, and Koro Koro. 4.15 p.m to 5.00 p.m: Woburn Road and south of Woburn Road and Whites Line and east of Hutt River including Wainui-o-mata, Seaview —Gracefield industrial area, eastern Bays and Eastbourne.
