FUNERAL DIRECTORS
NEW PREMISES IN HUTT Amongst the latest additions to Lower Hutt's business premises is the fine new building just opened by W. Hall, Ltd., funeral directors, in High Street. Being of concrete, the building is fireproof, and it is completely modern in design and appoint inents, with the walls painted cream. The office opens from the street, and behind are a women's rest room and a minister's room, completely furnished and with the latest fittings. The chapel, which seats about 80. people and has a pulpit and organ installed, has an atmosphere of dignity and reverence. Adjoining the chapel is a private annexe, consisting of a family mourners' room. There are also a post-mortem room for emergency examinations and a slumber room. A motor hearse has all the most modern fittings. At the rear of the premises is the machine-shop, where timber brought straight from the mills is put fhroug ll all stages until it emerges the finished, polished casket.
