• CATHOLIC ASSOCIATION In the Wellington Catholic Lawn Tennis Association's competitions a play-off will be necessary for the Vic tory Challenge Shield, St. Anne's (Newtown) and Petone being equal with 12 points each. Brooklyn won the Durney Cup in the second grade, and St. Anne's took the St. Joseph's Trophy in the third grade. The following were the results of the last series of matches: Durney Cup: Hutt 13, Johnsonville 11; Island Bay 17, Seatoun 7; Brooklyn 16, Northland 8; Kilbirnie 18, Thorndon 6. St. Joseph's Trophy: St. Joseph's 12 (111 games), Petone 12 (90 games); Marist 18, Northland-6; St. Anne's 21, Kilbirnie 1; Hutt a bye. Victory Challenge Shield: St. Anne's 14, Brooklyn 2; Petone 13, Marist 3; Seatoun 11, St. Joseph's 5; Thorndon 12, Island Bay 4.
