LOWER HUTT v. WELLINGTON On Monday night the Wellington Club will meet the members of the Lower Hutt .Club in an inter-club contest of scratch events at the Recreation Ground. The Wellingotn Club has some, seasoned athletes in its ranks,, notably Colin Dickie, an ex-provincial, champion, who performed ; with credit in the Middle East. The experience gained by Hutt athletes in a contest of this nature will be most beneficial to them in the provincial, championships, which are to be held" in Wellington on February 16. ,'.! As a preliminary to the champidnships there will be a handicap meeting on the Basin Reserve on Saturday, 9th February. Entries for the handicap meeting and the championships will close on January 26th and February 2nd respectively. The Hutt Club's meeting is set down for Wednesday, February 20th, at 8 p.m. Some athletes have not yet l put in an appearance since the Christmas recess. If they are to be up with the leaders on February 16th they will have to get down to hard work without further delay.
