WOBURN BOWLING CLUB

SEASOX OPENED In the presence of a large number of members and visitors, the Wpburn Jiowling Club's season was opened on Saturday by Mr. J. W. Andrews. The president, Mr. Genie, presided, and also present were Hon. Walter Nash and Mr. \V. Hornig, representing the Wellington Centre. Tlie president welcomed the visitors and wished all members an enjoyable season. He expressed the grateful feelings of all that it was possible to resume the game under peaceful conditions, and extended a special welcome to returned men. All present were asked to bow their heads as a mark of respect to those who would not return. The officers were complimented on the condition of the greens and surroundings', and the ladies thanked for their help in many ways. Messrs Nash, Andrews, Hornig, and Perkins (patron), also delivered appropriate speeches and then the wife of the president threw up the first kitty, and Mr. Fred Lee played the first- bowl. A delightful afternon tea was then servetf in the nicely decorated pavilion, and games were played on the greens.
