The choirs will total some! 000 voices (trebles and busses; and a j \ariety of interesting, and perhaps j ;ajnbitious, choruses will be heard; with organ, piano or orchestrai ac-i companiment. There will be li- and o-part songs for girls' trebles, six 4part songs and hymns arranged for boys' and girls' trebles with basses; and probably a chorus from the "Messiah" arranged in up to (> parts for massed choir. It is a possibility too, that there will be a revival of one or two Qnison songs for massed, chorus that have proved popular ih past concerts. The combined orchestras will include over 100 instrumentalists. The massed orchestra will be heard in at least four numbers, the senior orchestra in more ambitious fare, the string orchestra in a Suite for Strings by Purcell, and the a«^ii | Hprehest;'{<, in two symphonic and a clarinet phantasy. Two thousand seats are available at the one price—i/ti (booking fee 'id). Half the seats are now open r or booking at the King George Confectionery, ,Lo\y|r£Hgtft, i\and others will become available at the D.I.C ; (Wellington) from September IS. As the orchestra will be raised considerably, a very excellent view of it" will' be obtainable by all who .are seated in the stalls Tickets are on sale from pupils of tire College and from Beggs (Wellin'4loflT. Seats "may be booked without tickets having been bought previously. The Railway Department has undertaken to build up the existing trains before and after the cc-nccrt so that Hutt patrons may attend the concert; _ However, there will; be considerable pressure on these trains and any who have cars and can save enough petrol for tjprtSfc .to take parties in j|rill be : assisting the ventur n
