e The Lower Hutt Amateur Athletic Club has experienced its most sue- . cessi'ul season since the outbreak of the war. There were 31 members registered with the Wellington Cen- i tre—s ladies, seniors and 93 juniors These members competed with distinction in the weekly meetings held by the Centre and in the Provincial Championships held at the Basin Reserve. Competition for the various tro- , phies has been very keen this season and the winners deserve to be congratulated on their success. Th following are the winners and runners-up: — James Cup, for ladies' events: S. Dibly; runner-up J. Leslie. Horman Cup, Junior sprint: K. Wood; runner-up, N. Rodley. Andrews' Cup, senior sprints: C. F. Horrobin; runner-up, J. I. Instone. Strand Cup, middle distance events D. Cameron. Purdy Cup, field events: N. Rodley; runner-up, J. Culley. Tresseder Cup, member of Hutt Football Club: C. F. Horrobin. These cups will be presented by the vice-patron, Mr. J. W. Andrews, at the annual dance to be held ,at Eva Draper's Studio, High Street, on Friday, 2.'srd June.
