HUTT BASEBALL CLUB
The Hutt Club officially opened its 1943 season on Saturday with a good wi» -over - Turner and Evans, 19-1. Hutt have a strong team again this'* year, most players being capable of 1 filling two or more*p<Mtions. The batting strength is good whilst the fielding is well tp standard. 1 Iliv&ryone did his .job well on Saturday; Campbell 2, and Frame 1, • getting home runs, with Gollop, J. McKay, Herbert and Daveys also doing well. In the field it would be hard to single out any player for special mention. The club has a number of ; extra players available and'it is hoped that players who want a game will make themselves known. Another team will be entered immediately if players will come forward. Games are played at Strand Park.
