NEW GENERAL SECRETARY
APPOINTED
The Board of Directors of thfe Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A. announce the appointment, of Mr. G. R. Pitketliley as General Secretary and Physical Director.
Mr. Pitkethley, who takes up his duties this week, comes with a wide
and varied experience, oi' boys' and girls' work. He lias had 1(! years in the large Y.M.C.A centres such as Auckland, Dunedin, Palmerston North and Wellington, at which centre he has for the last three years held the position ol; Boys' Work Director. He is a man with a real understanding of the needs and requirements of youth to-day— physically, mentally and spiritually. Wherever he has been lie has always had a very strong boys' and girls' division; popular and easy of approach, planning his activites with interesting variety of clubs.
Mr. Piitketliley is enthusiastic about men's and women's indoor basketball. He is keen to offer the Y.M. facilities' for this popular
game, having taken an important part in the running of the tournaments .in Wellington.
