TENNIS CLUB CONCERT

For the purpose of raising fuiuk to supply their members, who are serving in the Forces, with comforts, the 1-1 utt Bowling Tennis Club ladies held a most successful concert in the club pavilion recently. At the conclusion of the concert the patron of the club, Mr. W. Hendry, in the absence of the president, thanked the artists and the organisers, Mrs Upton and Miss D. Brooks for providing such an excellent entertainment. The following artists took part: — Mr. Ivan England, pianoforte solos; pupils of Miss Vivienne Piatt, ballets; Miss Enid Wood, vocal items; Mr. C. H. Burridge, ventroloquist; Miss Valarie Holder, character dance solos; Mr. Wardow, song; Miss Valarie Holder and Beatrice Taylor, duet; Miss Margaret Richmond, song; violin solo, Miss Beatrice Taylor. At the conclusion ol: the musical programme supper was served and I the evening was dovoted to dancing.
