This is the last opportunity of reminding returned servicemen that Diggers' Night will be held on Saturday next, March 27th, in the R.S.A Club-rooma, High Street, Lower Hutt at 8 p.m. For those newlyjoined members of the association, we would explain that this is an evening for their wives and children as well as themselves, and a most enjoyable outing is assured them. The programme consistSi of dancing, some very excellent items, games, community singing and not least, supper. There is no charge for admission, but the social committee requests that each lady will bring with her a plate of refreshments.

A function which concerns returned servicemen only, and which is set down for Friday, April 9th, is the annual re-union and smoke concert, With the large increase in the membership of the Hutt Valley branch, due, to a great extent, to the enrolment of servicemen from the present war, a record attendance is anticipated at the re-union, and Diggers, young and old, will have the privilege of exchanging reminiscences and comparing notes. , The charge for admission will be 2/6. Special events which draw near are Poppy Day, April 16th, Anzac Day, April 25th, and the annual general meeting of the branch, the date of which will be announced later. Lastly, the R.S.A. Junior Club are holding their fortnightly dance on Thursday, March 25th in the Club Rooms, and. the ladies; committee have their fortnightly Card Party on Wednesday, March 31st at 2 p.m. sharp.
