I HUTT VAIiLKV Y.M.C.A. | PROGRAMME The School holidays are always looked forward, to by the children, but those happy boys and girls who participated in the many activities organised, by the Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A. during these holidays will long remember the good times they ■have had. To mould the character of the growing boy, embracing the Spiritual, Mental, Physical and Social aspects of his life, is the four-fold purpose of the Y.M.C.A. upou winch it bases its greatest hopes. Many of the leading citizens of the Dominion can look back with a deep conviction that the ground work of Christian character and Christian citizenship engendered in the Y.M.C.A. programme, was a contributing factor in their success in life The dominant characteristics of the life of the next generation are being settled right now, as presentday youth responds to the formative influences exerted upon it. In a very real sense The Fabric of the Future is being woven. Lite will take its pattern from Youth. There are many threkds which go to make up the ultimate fabric and these must be selected and used .with due regard to the desired result. The Young Men's Christian Association, because of its long experience in dealing with the problems , of youths is peculiarly fitVed to help its youthful members to a worthy manhood. The Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A. programme provides for the following activities --The story of /'Pilgrim's Progress" will be told by Dr. -I. M. Laird on Sunday. A Treasure Hunt oil Monday morning with a HcJbby Exhibition in the afternoon. Special Games morning on Tuesday tuui another 2ZIJ Concert in the afternoon with many new at 1 motions organised by 'Lady (lay'. Oil Wednesday and Saturday ;i specially selected picture programme will be shown at the King Ceorge Theatre, and following a hike over the hills 011 Thursday morning a fine Variety Concert by the best talent amongst the children of the Valley Will take "place at the Theatre in the afternoon. Home 'Service, with a Clardening Competilion as its objective will take up most of Friday.
