DESTRUCTIVE FIRE
Owing to 'destruction by fire of the Eva Draper Studio in the early hours of last Thursday morning, most of Messrs Carey's stock of drapery, ; etc., was damaged as a result of water entering their shop below the studio. The Firm will be a heavy loser as the new season's goods had only just arrived and cannot be replaced. Ttie entire stock must be cleared so tjiat the premises will be made available for renovationb.
A monster clearing sale will open on Friday morning and as the, coupon restrictions have'been lifted for the first three days! of the sale, patrons will have an exceptional opportunity ot' acquiring materials which will be perfectly serviceable after some skill has been spent on removing slight blemishes, at prices well below the wholesale cost.
