HUTT VALLEY SERVICE CLUB
<?> The Hutt Valley Service Club, organised by the women's section of the U.S.A., again entered for a large number of servicemen at the weekend. The hostesses were the federation of Women's Institutes with Mrs. C. Price as convener. Delicious meals were served and the club wishes to thank all those who gave donations—meat, milk, fuel, etc. The dancing' on Saturday evening proved very popular, whilst on Sunday evening' a delightful programme arranged by Mr. S. Wood was much appreciated. Among the artists were Miss Valmai Hunt, acrobatic dance; Mr. Swain, solo; and a most amusing sketch given by Mrs. R. H. Ashe, president of the Service Club. Community singing led by Mr J. Kyle proved very enjoyable. Mi' Mann was at the piano, and thanks are due to Mr. Fawcett who so wbly looked after the door.
