OBITUARY
31 r. >1. KUSSKLL The death occured at the Wellington Hospital on oth inst. of Mr. Hoy M. Russell who was for several years in business in Lower Hull as a grocer, during which time lie served a term on the Lower Hutt Bor ough Council. Mr. Russell was born in Christchurch 41) years ago and served in the Great War as a mem-
ber of the Tunnelling Corps and Engineers. Mr. Russell was particularly active as a member of the Methodist Church, where he held many offices and was particularly active as a Sunday School teacher and general Youth organisations connected with the Church. He was a popular member ol' the Hutt Bowling Club. The funeral, which tool-: place at the Karori Cemetary, after a sliort service at his late residence, was conducted by the Rev. P. ,1. Parker, assisted by Rev. R. Thornley. Members of the U.S.A. and the Forresters Lodge also took part in the service. He is survived by his widow and one son and one daughter. A motion of sympathy with the family was passed in silence clt Monday's meeting of the City Council.
