LOW Kit HI'TT IJILAXCH The Lower Hull Committee oi' the National Savillus Compaign met last wui'k. There were present .Messrs J. Spoilt-house (chairman )), W. Ciltrai>. H. Shearer, 11. W. i'ilcliett, 11. V. Ward, and the organiser -Mr. Maurice Ralph. Apologies were received from Messrs C. C. Odliti. (!. L. Ciesen and 10 J. Cuiness. Correspondence was read from the National Savings director expressing thanks lor the. good work done by the local committee in the Liberty Loan Campaign and their help in gaining such a satisfactory response. The committee passed a resolution of thanks to the members of the WWV.S.A.. for {helping the .campaign by attending the selling points. These ladies did really good work and sold many pounds worth of bonds. Thanks were also sent to the L'etone Hutt Gas Lighting Co and Messrs Blundell and Duff for loan of premises for selling points for the Bonds. It was agreed that a National Savings drive be gone on with to secure more savings accounts and also new groups, and that a general survey of the Hutt Valley be mau'e to work up enthusiasm in National Savings.
