HUTT GOLF CLUB

The 40th annual general meeting of members of the Halt Golf Club was held in the Hutt River Board Chambers. Mr. J. H. Wagg presiding' over a large attendance of members. The annual report showed that at the 31st December 1941 there were 61 members of th club on active service. and an appeal was made to members to retain, if at all possible, their full membership in order to maintain the course in its usual excellent condition. Many new members joined during 1941 and indications pointed to a further influx of members during 1942. A tribute was paid -to the zeal and energy displayed by the captain, Mr. M. Paulin (now on active service), during his years of office.

The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. C. A. lUirgess; vice-presidents, Air. J. 11. Wagg and Mr. I'. J. R. fordham; captain, Mr. J. F. I'ym; committee: Messrs H. W. P. (Julian, 15. L. Hammond, E T. 10. Hogg, L. Monkman, (1. C. Pi) ill ins and G. P. Roberts; honorary auditor, Mr. A. L. McLean; election committee Messrs T. R. Abercrombie, G. Cook, C. 11. Griffin, G. J. Loughnan, J. H, Turner.
